400 APC, PDP, ACPN Members Dump Parties for ADC
Nigeria ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) lost a number of their members to African Democratic Congress in Ifako-Ijaiye/Ojokoro on Monday.
About 400 members of APC, PDP and ACPN were welcomed to ADC by the Ifako-Ijaiye Chairman of the party and the candidate of Ifako-Ijaiye/Ojokoro House of Representatives, Timi Olorunsaye [TMO] during an event at TMO’s campaign office in Iju road.
The defectors were led by Abayomi Adenle, a former member of APC and United Nations Youth Ambassador.
Adenle disclosed that they defected to their new party because of ADC’s ideology of togetherness and the integrity of key figures in the party.
He said that the ruling party and PDP have lost their ideology and integrity while APC was still being run on old ideas.
Adenle further stated that PDP and APC have proved to be two sides of a coin, hence, the defectors’ resolve to join ADC, which according to him, remained winning party come 2019 election.
The Youth Ambassador also mentioned that ADC’s promise of unprecedented opportunities for youths helped him make up his mind and led to his defection to the new party.
While welcoming the new members, Olorunsaye assured them that their voice is important and they will be given platforms to grow and express themselves.
Furthermore, the ADC hopeful added that the party was open to any individual or groups who craves for good governance.
