Actress Lola Reverts to Islam
Now to be addressed as Rohdiat, seasoned Nollywood actress Lola Alao has confirmed reports of her conversion to Islam.
Explaining her reasons for the religious switch today, she wrote: ‘Salaam alykun to all my wonderful friends and fans, May almighty Allah grant u all your heart desires. I just want everyone to know that I was born in to a Muslim home, my late father’s name is Lasisi Alao, so i reverted back to my roots through Alhaji Yusuf Adepoju (Acadip) May almighty Allah bless him and all my wonderful friends and fans…. Thanks love you all.. Rohdiat Omolola Alao Ajibola.
Now, what does this mean for the flamboyant actress?
1. Lola must remove herself from movie shoots a couple of times a day to observe her Solat (prayers).
2. Fans of Lola shouldn’t expect any form of provocative dressing from her henceforth, even in movies.
3. Lola, who was rumoured to have separated from her American-based husband, Wale Ajibola a few years ago under controversial circumstances HAS to marry again in a proper Islamic way before honouring any relationship with any other man.
