NSCDC Withdraws Shina Peller’s Security for Proposing Scrapping of the Corp
Honourable Shina Peller, member of the House of Representatives representing lseyin/ltesiwaju/ Kajola/lwajowa Federal Constituency in Oyo State, is said to have had officials of the Nigerian Security of and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, providing security for him withdrawn.
The order for the withdrawal was said to have emanated from the office of the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Ahmed Audi.
Meanwhile, the withdrawal order is believed to have been as a result of a bill sponsored on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 by Honorable Peller on the floor of the house, seeking the scrapping of the corp.
Proposing the bill, Peller said the functions of the Corp could effectively be performed by the Nigeria Police Force.
