FirstBank jeopadising my son’s health over N200k, father cries out (Video)
A father, Akinkunle O. Johnson, has accused one of the popular commercial banks in Nigeria, FirstBank, of jeopardising the health of his son. Johnson made this known in an SOS he wrote on his social media handle since all entreaties to get access to funds in his account to provide proper medical attention to his son have proven abortive.
He, therefore, claimed that the management of the bank would be held responsible should anything untoward happen to his suffering child.
“1. Dear @FirstBankngr @FBN_help I want to put it out here that because of your ineptitude, the health of our child is in jeopardy. We will be going to your Lafenwa Branch tomorrow, and this is a public notice to you officially.
“2. For Two weeks, we have been stranded and because we have to live in deplorable conditions while your Sango-Otta Branch staff send us back and forth, for something they should do once, our son is in medical crisis, and we can’t access the money we saved in your bank.
“3. You claim it is KYC issue, but the same KYC issue did not prevent you from taking our money into deposit. We have every document to prove our identity, yet your staff was so unempathetic that one would think we went there to beg for money. Dear @FirstBankngr, if this escalates.
“Then I will know that I did everything sane to get you to reason. Give us our 200k, we have government issued ID that proves our identity. You shouldn’t have taken our money when you know there was KYC issue. @falzthebahdguy please help us retweet.
“4. Notice. @cenbank kindly ask @FirstBankngr to release our N200k so that we can use it for the emergency we saved it. Account Number: 3197038137. Please retweet when you see this for more awareness. @mrmacaronii,” he wrote.
Many Nigerians shown empathy for his dilemma, some suggested that while he is still working on resolving the issue with FirstBank, he should provide another account for donations towards the healthcare of his child.
The father supplied an alternative account number.
“We use KUDA 2014407648 Akinkunle O. Johnson.
“We thought First Bank would be more reliable. But here we are, at the mercy of a first generation Bank,” he added.
