Olu of Orile Kemta, Oba Tejuosho Distance Self from New Purported Alake title
The attention of the Palace of Olu Orile Kemta His Royal Majesty Oba Dr” Adetokunbo Tejuosho has been drawn to a publication dated 7th September 2023 with an inscription Alake of Kemta by a publisher, Kabiyesi through a communiqué released immediately wish to distance himself from the said publication.
In his words, he said, “I have read it, and I am surprised by such publication.” I immediately launched an enquiry to ascertain the source as well as to know the motive behind it.
In as much as we were able to establish that the said publication was erroneously quoted by the publisher, we equally wish to notify the general public that Kabiyesi’s title is Olu Orile Kemta and not Alake of Kemta as erroneously published.
We have informed the publisher to immediately correct the aforementioned error with a rejoinder to correct the admissibility
We should not make issues out of nothing. Any reasonable person will know that was an error and nothing more.
If truly Bada-Baamofin Egba is from Kemta by maternal link as he claimed in his piece he wrote and signed, which I read. Then he should know that ALAKEMTA is a panegyric way to elougise our forebears (I stand to be corrected).
Moreover, if as an adult, and an erudite scholar of high repute and a presumably concerned stakeholder he has noticed some inaccuracies, he should at least find a way of resolving it brotherly and not create complex issues out of what lack ambiguity.
With profound regards to him, I charge him to make enquiries about Alakemta from a few authentic Kemta octogenarian in his maternal compound in Oke Ejigbo where he claimed to have affiliation.
It is my utmost wish that we can all work together for the benefit of Kemta at large and not looking for baseless excuses to hang the dog.
Alakemta agbe wao.
E- Signed
