YorubaLand Health Charity Foundation conducts free medical in Lagos

The YorubaLand Health Charity Foundation also know as Progressive People of Yorubaland Worldwide Association said its medical outreach carried out at Agege, Lagos metropolis addressed over 2200 people with eye problems and dental cases.

The outreach which was held on Saturday 11, November 2023, was part of the activities line up to reiterates its commitment to good health in Nigeria especially to Yoruba people.

The President of the association, Mustapha Abdul Elewiodo, in a telephone interview told the Media that the initiative was meant to introspect and reflect on the meaning of being ones “brothers’ keeper”
He said that the period was also a time for the association to look out for each other, identify issues of common interest, and also use the opportunity to conduct a medical outreach.

According to him, the association will use the time to render selfless service to the less privileged especially the elderly and also give foodstuffs to both young and old.

Elewiodo said, “Today is for medical outreach, we will identify the elderly groups and then have general medicine carried out on them. The elderly are always neglected by the society after they must have served the society.We will take care of them on general medicine like, dental cases and eye care because they are old and most may be suffering from eye problems,” .

According to him, about 20 of their members were at the centre to provide free medical services to the elderly and others who went home with medicines, eyeglasses and other materials needed for goof wellbeing. YorubaLand Health Charity Foundation also known as Progressive People of Yorubaland Worldwide Association has embarked on many initiatives to bring succor to the faces of the less privileged in over 5 states in Nigeria.
