Adidas In Online Gaffe As Website Advertises Manchester United Jacket with CHELSEA trousers
Blunder: A model shows off a retro United jacket accompanied by Chelsea sweatpants
Adidas may hold the most lucrative sponsorship deal in world football with Manchester United but that doesn’t make them immune to Internet cock-ups.
The German sportswear giant advertised a retro United jacket on their website but there was just one problem – the model wearing it was also sporting a pair of Chelsea trousers.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted the blunder and commented on Twitter. One user wrote: “Mess up by Adidas! Retro United tracksuit. No problem about that but shame the guy is wearing retro Chelsea pants!”
Another added: “Nice new retro MUFC track-suit tops…but wait, check out the model’s trousers”.
Unsurprisingly, Adidas have since removed the page from their website.
Amended: The page has since been removed from the Adidas website
United and Chelsea return to domestic action this weekend following the international break.
Louis van Gaal’s side will be looking to bounce back from their mauling at Arsenal when they travel to Goodison Park to face Everton.
Chelsea, who also lost their most recent game at home to Southampton , welcome Tim Sherwood’s struggling Aston Villa to Stamford Bridge.
