BREAKING: FIFA Committee Recommends two-year Ban for Amos Adamu
FIFA Ethics Committee on Tuesday recommended a two-year ban for former member of the CAF and FIFA Executive Committees, Amos Adamu, over unethical conduct.
The adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee, chaired by Hans-Joachim Eckert, said it “has opened formal adjudicatory proceedings” without giving details.
Adamu, who is a former president of the West African Football Union, was investigated in a Michael Garcia-led probe of the 2018 and 2022 World Cup bidding contests.
FIFA banned him for three years after being found guilty of breaching bribery rules.
He was also fined 10,000 Swiss franc.
