Lagos Sports Commission DG, Lekan Fatodu, Pays Courtesy Visit to Legendary Fuji Icon, KWAM 1 for Partnership in Promoting Youth Engagement through Sports

The Director General (DG) of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Lekan Fatodu, paid a courtesy visit to the legendary Fuji music icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, to discuss potential partnerships to promote sports and youth empowerment across the state at the latters palatial Mayegun Royal Resorts in Ijebu Ode.

The visit underscores the Lagos State government’s commitment to leveraging all forms of media and celebrity influence to inspire the younger generation, particularly in steering them away from negative influences such as thuggery, drug abuse, and other societal vices.

“Many people may not know this, but during my youth, I was a passionate boxer and table tennis player. I frequently visited Rowe Park Sports Complex to hone my skills and draw inspiration from exceptional athletes. Sports played a significant role in shaping my formative years, instilling discipline and guiding me toward the right paths in life.”

“Grassroots sports development is crucial, and I deeply admire the remarkable work being done by the Lagos State Sports Commission in this regard”, he quipped.
