Mikel Obi Scores 1st Goal As His Chinese Club Suffers 2nd Loss in four Days
Mikel Obi was in action as his new club Tianjin Teda suffered their second loss in four days.
The Chinese club are presently preparing for the 14th season of Chinese Super League.
Tianjin Teda ended 11th in the 2016 Super League season won by Guangzhou Evergrande, who have won the last six titles.
Mikel’s club lost 2-1 and 6-2 to German clubs: Borussia Monchengladbach II and St. Pauli respectively in the pre-season games.
The Nigerian international however scored in his team’s 6-2 defeat to St. Pauli and it’s worth applauding.
The Super Eagles skipper joined Tianjin in a three-year deal worth around £140,000 per week.
