Ogun Naval Base: Senator Daniel Writes Gov. Abiodun<br> Thanks President Tinubu, Highlights Benefits for Citizens

His Excellency, The Senator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, representing Ogun East in the red chambers, has formally notified Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun of the Federal Government’s approval to commence construction of the Abigi-Makun-Omi Naval Base in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area.

In his letter to the governor, the chairman senate committee on Navy, disclosed that the project, approved under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, will be executed in phases.

The initial phase includes perimeter fencing, administrative block, and accommodation quarters for naval personnel.

Future phases will feature educational facilities and a naval hospital.
Daniel, while expressing gratitude for the governor’s support, also acknowledged Chief of Naval Staff Vice-Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla’s contribution to the project’s approval.

The naval base project, valued at two billion naira, represents a significant milestone in Daniel’s efforts to attract development to his senatorial district.

The former governor’s initiative aligns with his previous commitments to strengthen Ogun State’s maritime capabilities and strategic importance in naval operations.
