The accusations that the monarch and Pipeline Infrastructures Nigeria Limited (PINL) are involved in oil theft and economic sabotage are not only baseless but also an insult to the intelligence of stakeholders genuinely working to improve the region.

It is clear that the sponsors of this defamatory narrative are driven by ulterior motives, seeking to manipulate public perception by fabricating allegations against those who have long championed stability, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. Rather than focusing on their own duty to ensure the transparent execution of national assignments, they have resorted to cheap blackmail, hoping to shift attention away from their own shortcomings.

The attempt to frame the Olu of Warri and PINL as financiers of ethnic unrest and criminal activities is not just false it is a blatant misrepresentation of reality. It is particularly suspicious that the same publication lavishes praise on certain actors while maliciously targeting others, exposing a clear agenda of bias and misinformation. The international community must not be misled by such deceptive tactics.

At a time when Nigeria is making concerted efforts to combat oil theft and promote sustainable development in the Niger Delta, it is imperative that institutions such as the United Nations remain committed to fairness and impartiality. The focus must remain on factual, evidence-based discussions rather than propaganda that serves the interests of a few at the expense of national progress.
