Sujimoto Homes Boss, Sijibomi Ogundele, In $325,000 Fraud Mess

Lagos socialite and Sujimoto Home boss, Sijibomi Ogundele, is embroiled in a shocking fraud case.

The successful businessman was recently detained at the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID) in Abuja, but he has since been released on bail.

A human rights lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, had accused Ogundele of swindling Kabiru Ibrahim of a staggering $325,000.

The allegations dates back to November 5, 2020, when Ogundele allegedly convinced Ibrahim to make down payment for a luxurious three-bedroom flat in Leonardo estate—a property that was supposedly worth $750,000.

In the petition obtained by the media, Olajengbesi detailed how Ogundele lured his client with flashy brochures and enticing offers.

“Mr. Sijibomi Ogundele approached our client and fraudulently represented himself and the company. “He offered to sell one unit of a three-bedroom flat at the estate, claiming that if our client paid 50% upfront, the total price would be reduced to $650,000,” the document stated.

Ibrahim was said to have taken the bait and handed over a jaw-dropping $325,000, which was acknowledged by Sujimoto Construction Limited.

However, as time passed, Ibrahim was left in the dark—no construction updates, no property in sight, and certainly no sign of his investment! In his comments, police spokesperson DSP Funmi Eguaoje confirmed that Ogundele had been released after an “interview.”

“He came on invitation yesterday but they couldn’t resolve the matter then,” Eguaoje explained. “They called them in for an interview today, and now he’s going home,” she said.”
