Techavilly Founder, Mariam Adeyemi Reveals Trends Edtech Industry Shouldn’t Ignore
Education technology is a sector industry that is expected to surpass $377 billion by 2028.
This expected growth is as a result of the emergence of the changing needs of students.
Mariam Adeyemi a tech enthusiast who majors in the EdTech Industry and also the founder of Techavilly has said that social learning is part of the trends the industry shouldn’t Ignore.
According to her:”Though the concept of social learning has been around for a long time, in the past few years, this concept has gained increased popularity.
In this context of education, social learning refers to students learning from one another, in addition to teachers, experts and formal sources of knowledge.
I’ve noticed a number of competitors entering the edtech market. Time will tell how this trend will evolve, but teachers will likely institutionalize and start partnering with larger edtech platforms. Thus, they will be able to leverage the technical competencies of bigger players”.
Speaking further Adeyemi said another trend will be the focus on personal growth and development.
“Education has switched its focus from primarily teaching facts to also empowering students—something I believe aids in personal development. EdTech companies must understand that concepts and skills matter more than just facts. In the future, I believe EdTech solutions will be more focused on making things practical , authentic and relatable”.
