We Will Ensure Good Working Relationship Between Legislators And Executives In Ogun – Assembly Commission Chairman, Hon Waliu Taiwo
Chairman of the Ogun State House of Assembly Service Commission, Hon. Waliu Taiwo has promised to ensure a good working relationship between the legislature and the executive in the state.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the inauguration of the members of the newly constituted Ogun State House of Assembly Service Commission in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Taiwo said that time had come for the two arms of government to work together.
The former two-term commissioner in the state added that time had come for the state to claim its rightful place among the comity of states in the country.
“My plan is to create a good working relationship between the executive and the legislature and ensure good welfare packages for all the members and staff of the state house of Assembly.
“As a former member of the state house of Assembly and a former commissioner in the state, I know what to do to ensure synergy between the two arms of government.
“What we need to do is to serve as a reliable intermediary between the two arms of government. Time has come for the legislature and the executive to work harmoniously for developmental purposes.
“Ogun State has paid her dues in the country and we cannot afford to joke with what we all built together over the years,” he said.
Speaking further, Taiwo urged the people of the state to join hands with the state government to move the state forward, adding that “Governor Dapo Abiodun has proven to be a man of the people with his people-oriented projects.”
